  DSYBS has organized a 3 session Coaching Clinic...

Dover-Sherborn will enter a U14 team in the Spring New England AUU league.  This team will provide girls with a very competitive experience, as a complement to their Spring DS softball schedule.  Team size will be limited and some selection based on skill level and commitment may be necessary.

Players in Middle School must be registered and participating in the Dover-Sherborn Tri-Valley Softball League to be eligible for the Spring AAU Travel Softball team.  The AAU team will play games on Sundays, typically double-headers in tournament format starting approximately April 4.  There will be some indoor practice before the season.  Travel will be significant.  Refer to www.neaau.org/softball.aspx for more information.

Cost will be approximately $125 per player and will be determined and charged after the team is selected.

This AAU team will not practice during the school week, and minimally on weekends. so that play on this AAU team will not conflict with High School play or with Tri-Valley league (the usual grade 7/8 spring league) participation.  Girls that are serious about having fun playing softball at a high level should consider participation.  Costs will be determined later.  The AAU team will be coached by Charlie Ognibene and/or others.

    

DSYBS has organized a 3 session Coaching Clinic for baseball and softball coaches who would like to improve their coaching skill set so they can better coach and most importantly improve the baseball and softball experience for our players.

These 3 sessions will be held weeknights in the Spring just prior to the start of our towns baseball and softball seasons and will be held at our DS High School Gym.

We highly recommend this program that is being taught by the coaching staff from the New England Ruffnecks Baseball Club, one of the East’s premier amateur baseball programs.

Our players will benefit because our coach-attendees will learn how to set up exciting-fast paced practices for maximum player and team development and through instruction in hitting, pitching and fielding-throwing.

Each session will last 2 hours and the cost per attendee is $25 per session: total cost will be $75.00 per attendee.

This coaching clinic is for coaches of players from the earliest age up to Senior Babe Ruth.
